GENERAL INFORMATION

Information Tables

  • There will be several information tables at the Satsang Centre during the event. An area map, restaurant guide, accommodation guide and program brochure will be available.

Lost & Found

  • Lost or found items can be reported, dropped off and picked up at the information tables.
  • All unclaimed lost property will be disposed of one month after the event.

Books, Audio and Video Sales

  • Sant Mat books, CDs, DVDs and photographs may be purchased in the BAV Sales area after satsang.

Special Needs

  • If you have any mobility issues, require hearing assistance, or have other special needs, please see the Special Needs page for information and the Special Needs Application Form.
  • Service animals are permitted. If a service animal will accompany you, please list your service animal under "Other Aid you will bring with you" on the front page of the Special Needs application available on the Special Needs page

First Aid

  • There will be qualified sevadars who will attend to persons in need of minor medical attention and first aid. This service will only be available during the hours when the Centre is open. All other cases will be referred to local clinics or hospitals.
  • Visitors are requested to travel with their medical insurance cards or documents and medications and are expected to take care of their own medical requirements.

  • Those requiring medications or special diets are asked to bring an adequate supply with them. The Centre will not provide any medications or prescriptions for medications.Those with a diabetic condition, blood sugar issues or allergy issues are encouraged to carry what they need to deal with their condition.

Parking and Leaving the Study Centre

  • Shuttle buses will be available for the elderly and those with special needs from remote parking areas. Please be patient when exiting the site and follow the instructions of the sevadars.
  • Taxis wlll be available after satsang and arrangement has been made for a quick dropoff in the morning.

Food

  • The sangat will be served tea and cookies before satsang from 6:00 am to 8:30 am and a lunch bag after satsang that will contain 1 wrap, fruit, a juice box, and a cereal bar will be available for purchase. You may also bring your own lacto-vegetarian food. Please note food and drinks (other than water) will NOT be permitted inside the Satsang Hall.
  • Please respect the Science of the Soul, Vancouver Study Centre and use the garbage or recycling bins as required. Water will also be available at stations throughout the site.
  • Please note that non-vegetarian food and alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the Vancouver Study Centre.
